Happy, Healthy New Year! 01/04/2012
As a dietitian and lifestyle coach, January is one of my busiest times of the year. About half of American adults make New Year's resolutions to "get healthier", "exercise more" and "eat better". I think it's very important to declare your resolution(s) and set daily goals, otherwise you won't change a thing! When setting daily goals to help you achieve your long-term wellness goals, be sure they're S.M.A.R.T. goals: S: Specific, clear and well-defined M: Measurable with a food journal, pedometer, etc. A: Attainable and maintainable for the long-run R: Realistic given your other responsibilities and commitments T: Timely - pick a time frame for achieving the goal Check out the tips and resources to help you achieve your New Year's Resolutions.
